After winding through the countryside, I pull up to the driveway of my destination an unexpected sense of awe gripped me. It felt like a storybook setting, and all I could think of is how I just stepped into Neverland. I walk out onto the emerald-green grass to meet Dru Perkins one of the owners of the estate. She has the biggest smile and warmest hug as she shows me around the massive venue and acreage of Cape Girardeau’s newest venue Robinson Farms.
I left the venue determined to feature it how it deserved to be featured. I gathered a team of vendors who are some of the best in the business. Meraki designs went above and beyond on the florals, set designs, and their creativity overflowed for all to adore. Magnolias Bridal provided one of the most stunning gowns I have seen to date. The long-sleeved beauty has so many intricate details, and yet it is classically beautiful. I swooned from the moment I saw it. The hair and makeup were trusted to the one and only The Beauty Room in Perryville, MO. Their classic bridal look made the perfect contrast to the extravagance of the venue and set design.
Cakes Reanimated created this whimsy Neverland-inspired masterpiece, how anyone could ever actually eat these cakes are beyond me they are all so beautiful! Our bridal model Maddox Murphy is an absolute natural. These shoots require a lot of time, patience, and skill, and she delivered! Our Tinkerbell and Peter Pan-inspired flower girl and ring bearer are none other than our own children. Why I thought we could photograph our own kids while we are also working, I will never understand. Thank goodness for grandmas, horses, bubbles, and snacks!
